Have a BMW 315, a downmarket version of the 316 with a 75 bhp engine introduced in 1981. A 1.6 engine, because unexpected model numbers is not a new thing.
Actually, the 315 is boring. Have a 315 instead. It’s a 1.5 litre version of the 303, made from 1934 to 1937. There was also the more highly tuned 315/1.
Intriguingly the 303 had a 1.2 litre six while the 315 had a 1.5 four. Both had synchromesh on only third and fourth gears.
